How scoring works
Every recording gets an overall score plus feedback on four skills. Start with the lowest one.
Your overall pronunciation, in one number. The quickest way to see how you did.
Focus on your lowest skill below.
Accuracy
How clearly you pronounced each sound, word by word.
Start with the underlined words. Say each one slowly, then at normal speed.
Fluency
How smoothly you spoke, without long pauses or stops between words.
Read it once in your head, then say the whole thing without stopping.
Completeness
How much of the phrase you said. Skipped words lower it.
Don't skip small words like "the" and "of", and say the phrase all the way to the end.
Prosody
Stress and rhythm: how your voice goes up and down, and which syllables you say louder.
Listen to the phrase first, then copy the melody, not just the words.
- Clear. Keep it up.
- Almost there. People will understand you, but it can be clearer.
- Needs practice. Try again.
